Povolno is a one-man project, brought to life by a Polish-born, UK based, musician and composer Marek Orzel.

He played guitar and double bass in a number of bands over the years with genres ranging from grunge, blues, jazz and acoustic-experimental.

Unfortunately, having struggled with a hand pain due to an injury sustained as a child, he was forced to give up playing these instruments.

After some time, he realised that with careful arrangement of the music he is able to perform piano, which has become his main instrument.

Gradually, the idea of the project formed and the first album is now scheduled for a release in the first half of the 2023.

Marek considers himself an introvert with great admiration for nature, which is something you can feel in his music.

Povolno may interest those who enjoy spending an evening listening to artists such as Olafur Arnlads, Hania Rani or Dustin O'Halloran.

Music composed by him has, however, its own character with its slow pace and meditative piano arrangements.
